Carvexa customer care

Returns & Exchanges

Choosing automotive electronics should feel considered, not complicated. Our return and exchange process is designed to give eligible Carvexa customers a clear path when a product is not the right fit for their vehicle, installation plan, connected devices, or intended driving setup.

Returns Without Friction

A considered policy for connected automotive products.

Car electronics are often selected around specific vehicles, factory systems, smartphones, power sources, installation spaces, and everyday driving needs. Our policy is designed to support eligible returns while protecting products that require careful inspection and handling.

01

Our 30-Day Standard

Return requests should be submitted within 30 calendar days of the date the carrier confirms delivery. Starting the request within this period helps us confirm eligibility and provide the appropriate return instructions before the window closes.

02

Complete products are easier to approve

Automotive electronics often include cables, mounts, adapters, memory cards, microphones, antennas, remotes, manuals, trim tools, wiring components, and other model-specific accessories. The complete product package should be returned whenever possible.

03

Condition affects the return outcome

Products should not show damage caused by improper installation, modification, misuse, liquid exposure, impact, electrical damage, missing components, or avoidable handling. Every return is reviewed according to its condition and the reason provided.

04

Approval comes before sending the package

Do not send an item to the Carvexa business address without return authorization and routing instructions. An unauthorized shipment may be delayed, misdirected, refused, or become ineligible for reimbursement of return shipping costs.

Eligibility at a Glance

The clearest returns begin with the right product condition.

Opening a package for a reasonable compatibility or fit review does not automatically make a product ineligible. However, installation, modification, missing parts, damage, or extended use may affect the available resolution.

01

Generally eligible

Products requested within the 30-day window, complete with their included components, protected from damage, and returned with proof of purchase are generally eligible for review.

Return review available
02

Opened for inspection

A package may be opened to inspect the product or confirm basic physical fit. Keep protective films, labels, accessory bags, inserts, manuals, and the original box whenever possible.

Condition will be inspected
03

Installed or tested

Brief testing may be acceptable when completed carefully. Products showing installation marks, cut wiring, adhesive use, altered connectors, scratched surfaces, or vehicle-related damage require additional review.

Additional review required
04

Incomplete packages

Missing cables, mounts, remotes, adapters, memory cards, wiring components, manuals, or other originally included items may delay approval or reduce the amount eligible for refund.

Resolution may be adjusted
05

Modified products

Products with cut, spliced, soldered, drilled, painted, reprogrammed, permanently mounted, or otherwise altered components are generally not eligible for a standard return.

Usually not returnable
06

Damage from use

Damage caused by incorrect voltage, reverse polarity, improper wiring, liquid exposure, collision, drops, excessive heat, incorrect installation, or misuse is not covered by the standard return policy.

Standard return unavailable

Product Condition Matters

Protect every component before it begins the return journey.

Car stereos, dash cameras, backup cameras, OBD2 scanners, GPS trackers, wireless adapters, speakers, transmitters, and chargers can contain delicate connectors, screens, lenses, mounting points, cables, and electronic boards. A product that is loosely packed can be damaged even during a short return shipment.

Place every included component into a secure bag or compartment, cover screens and lenses, protect metal connectors, and prevent accessories from moving against the main device. Whenever possible, use the original internal packaging before placing the retail box inside a separate shipping carton.

Do not attach a carrier label directly to a retail product box. Writing, tape, labels, or shipment damage on original packaging may affect its condition and the final return assessment.

The product should arrive in a condition that accurately reflects how it was received, inspected, and handled.

How to Start a Return

A clear five-step path from request to resolution.

Submit the request before shipping anything. Providing complete information at the beginning helps our support team understand the product, identify possible compatibility concerns, and give you the correct return instructions.

Locate your order information

Prepare your order number, purchasing email address, delivery date, product name, and the reason for the return or exchange. These details allow us to locate the transaction and confirm the applicable return window.

  • Order number
  • Purchasing email address
  • Product name or model
  • Confirmed delivery date

Describe the return reason clearly

Tell us whether the concern involves vehicle fit, smartphone compatibility, physical dimensions, installation requirements, missing components, cosmetic condition, unexpected operation, damage, or an incorrect item.

  • Vehicle year, make, and model
  • Phone model and operating system
  • Factory stereo or connection type
  • Installation steps already completed

Provide supporting images when relevant

Clear photographs can help document the product condition, packaging, serial number, included accessories, visible damage, incorrect item, connection ports, or installation concern. Images are especially important for damaged or incomplete deliveries.

  • Product and packaging condition
  • Serial or model label
  • Included components
  • Visible issue or damage

Wait for return authorization

After reviewing the request, Carvexa will provide the available resolution and, when approved, the correct return address, packaging instructions, authorization details, and prepaid return label for an eligible U.S. return.

  • Do not ship before approval
  • Use the issued return route
  • Follow all packaging instructions
  • Retain the carrier receipt

Track the package until delivery

Keep the shipment receipt and tracking number until the return has been delivered, inspected, and resolved. A package that is lost before it reaches the authorized return location may require a carrier investigation.

  • Confirm the first carrier scan
  • Monitor transit progress
  • Save the tracking number
  • Keep packaging photographs

The Exchange Path

When another product is a better match for the vehicle.

Exchanges are available for eligible products when the requested replacement is in stock. Because car technology can depend on vehicle configuration, phone compatibility, factory equipment, and installation requirements, we may review the intended setup before confirming the replacement.

01

Request the exchange

Submit the order details, the product being returned, and the replacement product or specification you would prefer.

02

Confirm compatibility

Review the replacement against your vehicle, available connections, installation space, smartphone, charging needs, or intended use.

03

Return the original item

Package the original product carefully and ship it using the approved return instructions and authorized label.

04

Complete the replacement

Once the return is received and approved, the replacement is processed according to inventory availability and any price difference.

Exchange pricing

Product value, inventory, and price differences are handled before the replacement is finalized.

When the replacement costs more than the original item, the additional amount must be completed before shipment. Available payment instructions will be provided during the exchange review.

When the approved replacement costs less, the difference is returned to the original payment method after the exchange is finalized. Promotional pricing may be reviewed according to the original order.

Preparing Automotive Electronics

Different product categories require different return preparation.

Before packing a return, disconnect the product safely, remove personal information where applicable, collect every included component, and protect parts that can be scratched, bent, crushed, or damaged by movement.

Before You Install

A compatibility review can prevent an unnecessary return.

Before permanently installing a product, compare its listed requirements with the vehicle year, make, model, trim, factory stereo, available ports, voltage, dashboard dimensions, wiring, supported protocols, and installation space.

For connected products, also review the phone model, operating system, Bluetooth or Wi-Fi requirements, required application, account setup, cellular service, and subscription terms. Wireless performance can depend on both hardware and software compatibility.

Test removable products carefully before discarding packaging or applying permanent adhesive. For hardwiring, dashboard removal, factory audio integration, reverse-signal connections, speaker replacement, or advanced electrical work, professional installation is recommended.

A return is easier when the product has not been permanently altered to complete the installation.

Return Shipping

Authorized returns should travel securely and through the correct route.

Eligible U.S. returns and exchanges approved within the policy receive return instructions and a prepaid return label. The label should be used only for the approved product, order, package, and return destination.

Shipping responsibilities

What Carvexa provides

Once an eligible request is authorized, Carvexa provides the return route, packaging guidance, authorization information, and prepaid label applicable to the approved U.S. return.

  • Authorized return destination
  • Prepaid label for the approved package
  • Product-specific return instructions when required
  • Tracking reference associated with the return request

Customer responsibilities

What the sender should protect

The sender is responsible for packing the product securely, including all components, attaching the correct label, obtaining a carrier receipt, and retaining tracking information until the return is completed.

  • Use an appropriate outer shipping carton
  • Protect the retail box and electronic components
  • Do not combine unrelated orders without approval
  • Keep the carrier receipt and package photographs
Important shipping note

A prepaid label does not replace careful packaging.

Damage caused by inadequate return packaging can affect the available resolution. Use cushioning around the main device, secure loose accessories, protect screens and lenses, and seal the outer carton fully.

If you choose a different carrier or shipping method without prior approval, those shipping charges may not be reimbursed. Ship only to the authorized address supplied with the request.

Inspection and Approval

Refund timing begins after the returned product is received.

Carrier delivery confirms that a package reached the authorized location. It does not represent final return approval. The product must first be opened, matched to the request, checked for included components, and reviewed for condition.

Stage one

Carrier delivery

The tracking record confirms arrival at the authorized return location. Packages may require internal receiving time before they enter the inspection process.

Stage two

Order and product matching

The return is matched to the order number, authorization, product model, serial information where applicable, and the stated return reason.

Stage three

Condition inspection

The product, packaging, included accessories, connectors, cables, mounting points, screens, lenses, wiring, and signs of use or modification are reviewed.

Stage four

Resolution approval

Once the inspection is complete, the return is approved, adjusted, exchanged, or referred for additional review according to the product condition and request details.

Stage five

Payment processing

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method. Financial institutions and payment providers may require additional processing time before the credit appears on the account.

Refund Timing

What to expect after the inspection is completed.

Most approved refunds are submitted to the original payment method shortly after the return inspection is finalized. The time required for the credit to become visible can vary by card issuer, bank, digital wallet, or payment provider.

Approved refunds

Original payment method

Refunds are returned to the payment method used for the original purchase. Carvexa cannot redirect an approved refund to a different card, bank account, or payment account.

  • Order discounts remain reflected in the refund value
  • Refunds cannot exceed the amount paid for the returned item
  • Gift card portions return to the applicable gift card balance
  • Payment provider timing is outside carrier delivery timing

Adjusted refunds

Incomplete or altered returns

A deduction may apply when the returned product is missing originally included components, has avoidable cosmetic damage, arrives in materially damaged packaging, or requires replacement of parts needed to restore a complete product set.

  • Missing accessories or proprietary cables
  • Damaged screens, lenses, terminals, or mounting points
  • Cut wiring or modified connectors
  • Products returned in a condition different from the request

Damaged or Incorrect Orders

Some situations require a different and faster review path.

When a package arrives damaged, incomplete, or different from the order, document the condition before installation or disposal of any packaging. Early documentation helps us identify the most appropriate resolution.

01

Damaged in transit

Photograph the outer carton, shipping label, internal packaging, product, and visible damage. Keep all packaging while the claim is reviewed. Do not install or power a visibly damaged electronic product.

02

Incorrect product received

Compare the received product, model label, color, configuration, and included accessories with the order confirmation. Keep the item unused and retain all original packaging.

03

Missing components

Review every packaging compartment before reporting a missing part. Photograph the product, accessory layout, box interior, inserts, and packaging labels so the original packing configuration can be reviewed.

04

Product does not power on

Stop testing if there is heat, odor, smoke, swelling, liquid, damaged wiring, or a visibly compromised connector. Otherwise, record the power source, cable, vehicle port, setup steps, and any indicator behavior.

05

Compatibility concern

Provide the vehicle year, make, model, trim, factory stereo, available ports, phone model, operating system, and the exact point where the connection or installation is not working as expected.

06

Request submitted after 30 days

Requests outside the standard return window are reviewed individually and may not qualify for a return or exchange. Product support, troubleshooting, or other available options may still be considered.

Special return situations

Some products and conditions fall outside the standard return process.

Products showing misuse, liquid exposure, impact damage, incorrect voltage, reverse polarity, overheating caused by an unsupported setup, cut wiring, permanent modification, or unauthorized repair are not eligible for a standard return.

Gift cards, redeemed digital products, used service plans, cellular subscriptions, installation labor, third-party fees, and other consumed services are generally not refundable through a physical product return.

Products designated as final sale, clearance with a final-sale notice, or customized for a specific application are not returnable unless they arrive damaged, incorrect, or otherwise qualify under applicable consumer protections.

Carvexa may limit or decline returns connected with repeated policy abuse, materially inconsistent return descriptions, substituted products, missing serial labels, fraudulent activity, or packages sent outside the authorized process.

Questions About Returns

Clear answers before you begin the process.

Every question remains closed until selected, keeping the page easy to scan while providing detailed guidance when needed.

When does the 30-day return window begin?

The standard return window begins on the date the carrier marks the order as delivered. The return request should be submitted within 30 calendar days of that confirmed delivery date. The product does not need to arrive back within the same 30 days, but it must be shipped within the timeframe provided in the approved return instructions.

Can I return a product after opening the package?

Opening the package for a reasonable inspection does not automatically make the item ineligible. Keep all packaging, protective material, manuals, accessory bags, cables, mounts, and included parts. Products with permanent installation marks, modification, missing components, damage, or extended use may receive an adjusted resolution or may not qualify.

Can I return a product that has been installed?

Installed products require additional review. A carefully tested removable device may remain eligible, but products with cut wiring, stripped terminals, drilled surfaces, adhesive residue, scratched screens, damaged mounts, altered connectors, or permanent vehicle integration are generally outside standard return condition.

Are eligible returns and exchanges free?

Eligible U.S. returns and exchanges approved through the Carvexa process receive a prepaid return label. The label must be used for the authorized product and destination. Unauthorized shipping charges, upgraded shipping methods, packaging purchases, or shipments sent to an incorrect address may not be reimbursed.

Can I exchange an item for a different product?

Yes, eligible products may be exchanged for another available product. The replacement is subject to inventory, compatibility review, inspection of the returned item, and any price difference. When the requested item is unavailable, a refund or another suitable resolution may be offered.

What happens if accessories are missing?

Missing originally included accessories may delay the inspection or reduce the refundable amount. This may include cables, mounts, adapters, microphones, antennas, memory cards, remotes, wiring harnesses, screws, brackets, manuals, cases, or other components required to restore a complete product package.

How long does a refund take?

The return must first be delivered, received, matched to the authorization, and inspected. After approval, the refund is submitted to the original payment method. The time needed for the credit to appear depends on the card issuer, bank, digital wallet, or payment provider.

What should I do if the package arrived damaged?

Photograph the shipping carton, carrier label, internal packaging, product, included accessories, and all visible damage before discarding anything. Do not install or power a product that appears electrically or physically unsafe. Submit the order details and images as soon as possible.

Can I send the return to the address shown in the footer?

No. The business address shown on this page is not automatically the authorized return destination. Approved returns receive specific routing instructions. Sending a package to an unapproved address may cause delays, refusal, or loss of return eligibility.

Does returning a GPS tracker cancel its subscription?

Not necessarily. Hardware returns and service cancellations may be separate processes. Remove the device from your account and review the service provider's cancellation instructions, billing cycle, minimum term, and refund conditions. Carvexa cannot automatically cancel an independent third-party service plan.

Our customer care standard

A return should be documented clearly, handled carefully, and resolved with the right context.

We ask customers to provide accurate order and product details because automotive technology can depend on vehicle configuration, phone software, power requirements, installation choices, and accessory completeness.

We review returned electronics carefully because their condition may not be visible from the outside of a package. This protects customers, product quality, and the integrity of the return process.
